Compare equipment specifications

Select 2–4 equipment models to compare their specifications side by side.
Browse equipmentHow the equipment comparison works
The comparison puts up to four models from the Plant Library into one table, one column per model. Each row is a specification that at least one of the selected models holds, so you can read operating weight, engine power, capacities and dimensions across the machines without switching between spec sheets. A dash means the library holds no value for that model.
Choosing models to compare
- Open an equipment category or search the library by manufacturer, model or description.
- Tick the compare box on a model card (it appears when you point at the card), or select Compare on a model's specification page.
- A compare bar at the bottom of the screen lists your selection. Select Compare in the bar to open this table. The selection is kept in your browser while you keep browsing, up to four models.
- Remove a model with the cross beside its name, or use Add model to pick another. Share sends or copies a link to the same comparison, and Print gives a printed table.
Reading the table
- Rows start with the headline figures: operating and gross weight, net and gross power, rated capacity, payload and bucket, blade or body volume. Dig depth, reach, boom length, lift height and dump clearance follow, then the overall and transport dimensions. Any other recorded specification comes after these in alphabetical order.
- For power, capacity, payload, reach, dig depth, height, boom and lift rows, the highest value is shown in green and the lowest in amber. Weight, length and width rows are not marked, because whether more or less is better depends on the job.
- Models from different categories can be compared. The page then warns that the categories differ and uses the specification labels of all the categories involved.
- Figures come from the Plant Library record for each model; its specification page shows the data source and quality rating. Confirm critical figures against the manufacturer's documentation.
