TaskRox for QA managers

Move quality records out of spreadsheets: raise test requests, sign off ITP lots, raise NCRs from failed results and issue a close-out pack from the same register.

Common problems for QA managers

  • The QA register is a large spreadsheet with no revision control or audit trail.
  • Test results arrive by email and are hard to find when an auditor asks for them.
  • ITP lot sign-offs are tracked by hand, so it is unclear which hold points are released.
  • A failed test means starting a new NCR from scratch in a separate file.

How TaskRox supports this work

Each item below describes a shipped feature and links to its documentation.

Test requests and results

Raise a test request against a lot and send the assigned tester a secure link by email. The single-use link is valid for 48 hours and lets the tester submit results online without a TaskRox login; the results return to the QA register.

ITPs with hold and witness points

ITPs carry hold points and witness points, and a lot-by-item grid shows sign-off status. A formal release signature is required to release a hold point.

NCRs linked to the failed test

When a test request is marked as failed, TaskRox prompts you to raise an NCR pre-filled with the test request number, lot and title. Defect List items can also be escalated to an NCR.

Evidence-checked lot close-out

Before a lot closes, the server checks results, verification lanes, hold releases, witness outcomes, required measurements, open NCRs and prerequisites, and lists anything outstanding. The close-out pack is filed as a PDF with links back to each source record.

Free ITP builder

Draft an ITP at taskrox.com/itp without an account and export it to XLSX or PDF. After signing up, the draft can be saved into a workspace.

Modules most used in this role

Listed in order of relevance. Every paid plan includes every module; each link opens the public manual page.
