How to Choose Construction Project Management Software

Start With the Work, Not the Vendor
Most software evaluations go wrong because the team starts with vendor names instead of project records.
Before you compare platforms, list the records your project must control:

Point tools can look strong in isolation. A separate scheduling tool, document tool, QA spreadsheet and safety app might each solve one problem. The problem is what happens between them.

Can you show the current revision? Can you show who responded to an RFI? Can you show when an inspection was signed off? Can you show photos attached to the daily report? Can you show why an NCR was closed? Can you show which people had access to the record?
Do not accept a generic "yes, we have audit trails" answer. Ask to see the record history on the exact workflows your team uses.
